Maximize The Newest From of Word of Mouth Marketing

Few forms of advertising are as true or as powerful as word of mouth marketing. Word of mouth advertising is simply one person passing what they perceive as valuable consumer information on to another person. One of its values comes in its ability to create consumer trust that can help rapidly build your brand and increase your sales. Another of its values comes in its ability to go on endlessly when one happy consumer tells another consumer, that consumer tells another consumer, and so on and so on and so on. It’s the kind of marketing every business longs for and thrives on.

Your company singing its praises is one thing. That’s called marketing. Others singing your praises for you is another thing altogether. That’s called referral marketing or word of mouth marketing. In actuality, word of mouth praise is the original form of social proof and influencer marketing.

Word of mouth referrals are one of the world’s oldest forms of marketing and advertising. The key to making this type of marketing work for your business is finding creative ways to share it with potential clients. Of course, the first part of making word of mouth referrals, marketing, and advertising effective is getting customers to love your products. That typically means building relationships with customers by providing them with top-notch, affordable products and services coupled with outstanding customer service.

Concentrate on giving every customer – whether they are online, offline, retail, or service-based – an unbeatable experience. Stay on top of buying trends and marketing trends and create a seamless buying experience. Of course, the best way to get a testimonial or to get your customers to share their positive experience is simply to ask for it. Keep a comment card or notebook on your counter, desk, or other areas where your customers and clients can leave a testimonial. Make sure to include a disclaimer and check box that gives you permission to use their words in your marketing and advertising.   • Start a VIP customer program and use the praise of customers and members to encourage other customers to join.
  • Start a customer referral program that offers discounts and other incentives to customers who make verbal or written word of mouth recommendations.
  • Start an add-on or impulse purchase campaign. Create marketing tools that say customers who brought Widget A said Widget B is the perfect add-on item.
